unfortunately, im so busy, i have to pay a dealership to do my overhaul, so i figured i want to get everything done/looked at, i told them i wanted the stock suspension replaced probably with some OME suspension that I am supplying,(1-2 inch lift) and getting a new set of real tires (everything is stock still)

since they will have the truck and be looking at a lot, what else should I have replaced? what about bushings, brakes, etc. should I just get them all replaced?

i actually rarely wheel due to my work, but i love my truck, and I want it to be perfect, and have the ability to do some mud driving. words on this?

thanks

Your LR dealership will install NON-LR parts for you? Mine will not. I purchased new rotors and pads from an outside source trying to save money. The rotors that arrived were Brembo and the pads were Ferodo. Since the parts DO NOT have "Genuine LR Parts" on it, LR will not install them. They claimed that if the part failed that they could not cover the cost to fix. I didn't expect them to pay for a failure. I would take that up with the manufacturer. What gives? LR is missing out. It's probably more LR BS

nothing really, the stock suspension is too bouncy for me, and it looks like one of the springs might be sagging, although it is so slight, i can't be certain.

the stock brakes suck too, i am looking to go vented.

there is nothing really "wrong", i just want to take advange of the shop time to cover all my bases, lets just say I am a preventitive maintainance kinda guy, on a tight budget (thus explaining why I want to make sure I am ahead of any future "issues")

Jack, why buy aftermarket parts and pay the dealer $85 an hour to install them? If you need someone else to install them, go to any mechanic or brake shop and it will be less than Rover.

Jesse, if you are on a tight budget, it will pay to call around to near by dealers to compare prices for the same service. I got prices ranging from $500 to $800+ for the 30k service. I've heard of others getting it for less than $400.

there are only 2 dealers here, and the lowest price i got was 479.

and the reaon why i was going to use the dealership to do the suspension and brakes is that this truck is my largest priced item I own, the goal is to keep it for quit some time, even if it means replacing the engine if needed, physically, it is in perfect condition, very very well maintain when i bought it. I am nervous if I good to a non-certified mechanic (LR certified that is) something will go wrong, maybe I am being way too cautious though.

i just wish i had the time to do the mods and part change overs myself
