the leather is still there, and the bolstered sides are, but the bottom 'butt' of the seat has fallen.. i am rather confused about this issue. and i am not sure exactly how to fix it... thanx |

There is a piece of rubber netting stretched tightly under the foam in the seat bottom that can tear. I took mine to a shop. Others just stuff a stadium cushion underneath. I had to do both as I couldn't find the original stuff. |

It would probably be a good idea to fix it soon. with no support from the bottom, the stitches in the leather support all of your weight and will probably tear. It is alot cheaper to fix now than after it tears. |

true... just so everyone knows in case someone else needs to have this done. i went to dealer and of course they can only give me a whole new seat, $600+... So i went to my Rover junkyard... they only sell the seat, but @ $150, its much more reasonable. I still didn't see a point in buying a new seat though... the seat was fine, just some burlap on the bottom... So since the junkyard has never gotten a disco with a gray interior, he felt bad and admitted defeat... LOL No, but he sent me to a local upholster who is replacing/fixing the bottom for about $50... Yip HEE, HurAY thanx guys! |
