I want to say Thank you to all the people here on Disco Web that have taught me alot about my '97 Disco. This morning my wife called to tell me that my Disco would not start. She said that when she tried to start it would reset the clock on the dash and the when she tried to unlock the doors, it would only unlock the drivers door via the key. From the knowledge that everone has given me, I knew this was a dead battery, so I told my wife she needed a new battery. She got a friend to help change it. Then she called back after the battery was changed and she said it still wouldn't start. I remembered that the security system would need to be reset, so I had her lock and unlock the doors with the key. (all she has is a key, we only have one remote) After she did this, the Disco started right up with no more issues. Then I told her go back to Napa and have them check the alternator, which she did and it was charging properly. No more issues. So Thank you for all your help. |

Yep. But don't tell her you learned all that online. Act like you knew it all along, and she'll be really impressed! (Might even raise your "Rover Allowance.")

If she raised my Rover Allowance, that would be a miracle..... Of course I have my eye on a RRC that a guy down the road owns....he is always working on it. So with any luck (since I never see anyone from the Spencer area WV on here) I might just get a good deal on it in the future. |
