i run a 245/70r16 on my '96 D1 also, been running 'em since my old '95 D1... I've put tons of miles on them both and can definitely vouch for them... GREAT TIRES! and a great size on the vehicle they stuff almost perfect, with newer tread they just touch rear quarter panel, but not enough to stop it from flexin'... represent those BFG's! jess |

On a stock D1 do the 255/65-16 rub at all ? Also with the other sizes that are taller is there any way to calibrate the speedo? |

Jess...So the 245/70/16s don't require any cutting? I'm buying tires this week and was going to get the 225/75/16s, but if the other will work, that's what I want...more ground clearance. |

Here are a few pictures of my trucks tires 265/75/16s with a 2 inch rover time lift with SG 3link up front. http://cnutter.segment.org/disco/ I had to do some cutting in the rear to prevent rubbing. Later Nutter

Tony Both tires have the same diameter with in half of a inch of each other. No different than putting on a never used spare with worn tires. 235/70R16 overall diameter 28.85, rev per mile 719 255/65R16 overall diameter 29.06, rev per mile 715 |

245/75 are not an issue, so I can't imagine that 245/70 would be. |
