On my 99 D2 the brakes work really well. How ever I have noticed when applying the pedal it has a lot of travel like there's not much booster there. But if I release the pedal and immediately apply pressure again, the pedal doesn't move hardly at all and the brakes work really well with little to no effort. It's like the booster isn't primed the first time and then is after one pump. Is this normal?

That's how mine has felt since I bought it, 2 years ago. Never had any problems with it.

Cool, just wondered if it was normal or something wrong.

Yeah, mine are the same way. 2001 D2

If you haven't checked your pads lately, check your front ones. I just replaced my front pads and noticed the pedel feels a little more firm, but your situation sounds normal.

If it's got squishy, squeaky brakes, leaks coolant, oil and freeon, and gets 10 MPG, it's a true Rover, and I wouldn't trade it for anything.
