Hey folks just installed OME HD springs and OME shocks, I put the rear 2" spacers in the other week from Rover Tyme
Now my rear suspension is really hard Bang bang,
Any ideas what I can do? I leveled out the truck by adjusting the rear bag arm.
Had anybody had this problem when doing a 2" lift install?

or should i say fully extending. longer shocks? might be the answer. dont forget that you have 3inches with the springs and add 2 more with the spacers.

Just from my experience, spacers cause the suspension to ride very firmly. Don't know if that's your problem, but that is what happened to me. Took them out, smooth as silk.

Spacers do not affect your ride unless you have mismatched shocks. A spacer is only an elevated spring perch. It sounds like you have 3.5 inches of lift with a shock designed for 2 inches of lift. Do you not have any spacer in the front? Sounds odd to have 1.5 lift in the front and 3.5 in the rear???

I think Mark used an SLS spacer in the rear, not a coil spring spacer. Sorry Mark -- no ideas, just trying to get everyone on the same page.

When I originally installed my SLS spacers in the rear, the stock shock was too short and was "topping" out the travel, resulting in a loud banging sound. The solution was longer shocks.

Mark,

That sounds like the problem. I discovered mine when I test drove the truck after the install and hit some speed bumps on a local street. The bang coincided with the upward movement of the body after the spring had initially compressed from the bump. After I installed longer shocks the problem was eliminated. By the way, the spacer kit should have come with a sensor arm extension that should level the vehicle for you.
