Just venting. The centering peg in the pinion flange of my D1 simply will not come out. I've tried every trick in the book (and archives), tons of heat and PowerBlaster, everything. Dealer won't lend me their service tool, but they will charge $88 diagnosis fee and $88/hr labor. This is so typical. joe |

Slayed the beast. I used an axle puller from a slide hammer on the pinion flange, threaded a long bolt through it into the peg, and tightened it with a 2.5" pipe wrench. Came off like butter lol! joe |

!sweet! I would say the heat helped it cause I put a cut torch to it and I could hear it sizzle (zzzzssshh. Then hit it with a hammer and bam.. came off. I think they used a glue-like material on the peg. Congrats.. Alex |

More and more, I'm glad I just swapped the diff instead of messing around w/ the pinion whilst under the vehicle....... -L
