I have a 97 Disco with a moan in the steering column when only when I turn it right when it is still. I had it in the shop and they changed out a cracked power steering valve but it did not go away. Does anyone know of another possible sourqce of the moan?

Sometimes, when I turn my wheel, the leather rubs the plastic behind the wheel, and it produces a very similar sound. Just a thought.

I have a 97 Disco as well. I had a moan when I turned the steeing wheel both ways, it got worse and turned out to be a burst PS fluid line.
