Does anyone know how to convert a 2000 Discovery's headlights to the new 2003 headlights? I've seen a photo of a 1999 conversion but haven't been able to locate a kit or instructions to determine the level of difficulty involved. I'm in the USA.
thanks

Great lights I agree, but with a quality wiring harness (12ga wire and relays) and higher wattage bulbs my 94' D1 lights are GREAT. Almost as good as the Euro's in my Audi. And on abandoned roads I can kick on the center Hella 550 driving Lights for some extra lighting. :-)
As for the 03' lights, I think I'll put the $1,000 into a savings acct to save up for an Actual 03' Disco. That way I get the lights AND the 4.6l motor. :-)

FYI The £895 Simmonites price is a 'fitted' price. They don't do a mail order kit either. The simple reason being that the conversion is no quick and easy swapping of the the light units. You have to trim the fenders and grille panel plus chop out the old light boxes behind the slam panel and weld in new light boxes to take the 03 lamps . Simmonites price includes all the fabrication and paintwork. No connection with Simmonites, I just happen to have looked into this one myself and decided that £900 on a pair of lamps is still way too expensive for me!

Don't do it. I'm all for doing up your truck, but seems like the lights would look quite dumb on an older Disco. Just save up and get a newer Disco with that money.

I got the Phillips Vision Plus headlight bulbs from www.autolamps-online.com, and they made quite a difference in clarity and brightness. Similar to PIAA super white bulbs, but better IMHO and half the cost.

Just my $.02

I dunno. Maybe it is just me. I think the '03-'04 headinghts look like crap. We have trucks that were designed in the early 90's. They are boxy and dated. I like this. Trying to make them look modern by putting round lights up front just seems silly.
