Howboucha D-Webbers!
We added another Disco to our collection last week. It's a 98 LE with all the goodies. Nice machine, was a repo from Arkansas (anyone from this board?)

I wanted the winch, but the guy who owned the disco (bought it at the repo auction the same day I "discovered" it) wouldn't sell just the winch so I bought the Disco. My wife decided that she wants the LE because the seat heaters kick ass, and it has a CD changer. This LE was a poseur machine big time. No mud or dirt anywhere, and the Hella's are not even wired.

Today I removed the winch and "brush guard" and installed it on my XD

After about 4 grueling hours and busting up my body, my XD now has a Warn 9000XDi installed. Looks good but the front end is sagging. The stock suspension obviously can't handle the extra weight. The LE is ungodly stiff and is looking towards the sky.

I am assuming the LE had the winch added after purchase, but the suspension looks stock.

I plan on taking both disco's to a friend of mine who has a shop in my area to see about swapping out the front suspension. Any thoughts on this? I do plan on doing the OME HD thing like I did on my 95, but need to wait.

Over and out,
Brendan

Lights not even wired in??? What a useless POS. Ive seen a disco at the mall like that. What a waste. Suspension swaps are not that hard. All you need is a few free hours, a good socket set and a jack. OME HD springs look stock, they are just stiffer and a little longer.

I can see it now-"Hey buddy, those are some nice lights yah got there. Do you mind if I see how bright they are?"
"Sorry man, I didn't want to wire them up. They look COOL though!" What a freaken dork. Spend money on lights and not even wire them up! Big time poseur. There's many LR and jeep owners out there that are the same way.

Nice XD!

hey thats my rover! my girlfriend was cheating on me and travling around the country side so i decided to follow her on her romping rampage. since i missed so much work i got fired. lost my job and house. then they caught me peeping into her window one day and i was arrested. i spend three weeks in some dirty jail similar to a jail in south east asia; eating only rats and fecesis. i was finnaly let out of the joint after consalting a lawyer. my disco was gone! repo man took it. with no ride i had to walk. and hitch hike, and beg for money. a beautiful blonde picked me up in north dakota took me home for a bath and food. she was a man i had to exit the scene quickly, runnig as fast as i could. why the lights never got hooked up i dont know.

Thanks guys for the tips. I need to make sure I at least get the wiring run so that it isn't 100% poseur. It is a nice disco all in all. My XD is having issues, off to post a thread about it.
