hmmm, this is the site list of Off Road Vehicles....

The Ultimate ORV List

The following is a list of Off Road Vehicles (ORVs as opposed to SUVs). These are vehicles that, in my opinion, were designed with the off-road enthusiast in mind. This doesn't mean that some poseurs won't try to turn these into urban transportation, or that there aren't other worthy ORV contenders. This is simply a list of vehicles more likely found in the woods rather than at your local mall.
In no particular order, they are:

I guess he has never been to this site or to some of the events that I have seen pictures of.

(sorry haven't made an event yet, time issues, but planning on doing so soon :-) )

‘77 and older Ford Bronco
International Scout (production stopped in ‘80)
‘86 and older Jeep CJ series. (I know the Wrangler can make a great ORV, but too many Ken&Barbie types drive them as well)
AM General HMMWV
ARO (can be bought new)
Land Rover Defender 90 and its ancestors.
Mercedes Gelaendewagen and Unimog
'90 and older (60 series and before) Toyota Land Cruiser (‘91+ (Series 80)models are evidently very capable ORVs, but are too often driven by poseurs and never used off road.)
'84-'89 Toyota 4Runner (unlike the '90+ models, these 4Runners were NOT available in 2wd!)
Nissan Patrol
