Hoping you guys can help...I ran a search and didn't find what I was looking for...

I had my RR at the dealer recently for 60k service plus some brake work. Since I have gotten it back, it stalls shortly after starting every morning and sometimes at random. I recently drove it into the N Georgia hills and when I got off the highway at the stoplight it stalled again. Never a problem restarting, and it seems to have lost some power, though that could just be my imagination...
I looked in the manual and it suggested (amongst things) either the Lucas distributor or Brake servo unit. The brake servo unit threw me for a minute, but the manual does a good job of explaining why that could be the issue. I know that Lucas is notorious for acting up.
My thoughts were Brake servo unit, since I just had it in for brake work and it sounded like a slight leak in vacuum line for brake servo unit could cause bad idle and stalling.

Anyone have any thoughts?

Thanks
Mike

Most likely that it is the stepper motor(idle control valve) which is causing your problem. You can try cleaning it with some electrical contact cleaner, or just replace it with anew one; either is very easy to do.

It appears to have been the stepper motor...cleaned it out and she runs much better.

I guess I should have gone to that first after seeing other posts! Learned my lesson...

Thanks again Randall
