Check this out. I have been plagued with the leaking sunroof problem for about 6 months now. So after reading the archives and asking a few questions I decided that my first attempt at fixing this would be to remove the spacers between the sunroof and the rails. Well, after I removed the back set of spacers I moved to the front and get this, there was only three spacers in the thing to begin with. I figure that this could have been the cause of the leak starting in the first place. Anyway, I removed all 7 and replaced everything. So far so good although the weather has been perfect since (figures). But it passed the hose test with the exception of a couple of leaks where the screws go through the glass into the mounting hardware above. Sealed with silicone which should do the trick. Funny thing is they seem to rattle much less, too although the front tends to stick open. I figure a little grease will fix that. Anyway, moral of the story. Do a thorough exam to see where the sunroofs are leaking from before you tear everything apart. |
