Well, I finally fixed the problem with my 95 Discovery. I had to replace all of the fuel injectors. I found a set of Bosch Injectors that fit. They are a little longer and have a slightly different tip but they seem to be working fine. The part number is Bosch/Ford 0280150561-21lb. They cost $200 for a set of 8, which is a little cheaper than the $200 a piece that Land Rover wanted.

Do you know what was wrong with the originals?

Has anyone on the board tried getting their injectors cleaned, balanced and blueprinted? John bought new injectors for $200, but are not the exact same size and LR wants $200 a piece? Damn! There's a place in L.A. that has a listing of $24-$28.50 to clean, balance and blueprint which sounds like a better deal, that way you know they will fit and work accordingly.

Another 94 with an annoying intermittant starting
problem. New fuel pump,2 new injectors the rest cleaned, new timing chain, new stepper motor

(I am still getting a 48 code after the veichle has been left idling)Often starts after prolonged
cranking, but is rough at first. 111000 miles and
runs great once it has started. Any suggestions?
Thanks Seth

hey Wes, can't remember where I picked this link up at, but i think it was someone from this board who used these guy's: http://www.cruzinperformance.com/injsteps.html

a good walk through of what a cleaning entails. seems like a pretty good idea if the injectors aren't too f-d up.

Robbie, great write up. The site I know of is http://www.rceng.com. My old mechanic used them a lot with good results on drag and autocross cars.

I found injectors at DAP-Inc for $68 each, they fit, they work and are brand new!!! Just a thought for those of you who are looking for new injectors.
Seth you probably already done this but have you changed the spark plugs, cables, rotor and cap, fuel filter?? If you have than check the injectors again, I replaced three of mine only to have two more go bad in the same month!!!!
