I just got my 03 Discovery and want to start taking it out on trails, but I do not know where any are. I live in Ft Walton Beach and the only trails seem to be on Eglin AFB. I do not want to be illegally riding around when they explode the next MOAB!!! Soooo.. if you live in the NW Florida area and know of any good trails please respond. Thanks in advance. |

Also I am new to off roading, so any advice would be appreciated. Also if you know of any books explaing how to off road and off road vehicle modifying please let me know what they are. I am a Hot Rodder, so I know how to make power, but my suspension knowledge is limited. I am willing to learn and more than likely if off roading is like drag racing my wallet will be much lighter. |

Check out Spanishtrailrovers.com. It's a Land Rover club near your area. They should be able to help you with advice for off road driving and modifying your truck as well as events/trail rides near your location. You might be able to hook up with some of the members who go wheeling around that area. |

Michael, you cannot wheel at Eglin now. And many of the members of the Spanish Trail club are currently deployed overseas. If you can make your way to Pace high school tomorrow, I'll be over there scouting some soccer, but I'd be happy to chat with you. I'll get there around 11am, and leave around 3pm. Email me privately and I'll give you my phone number. -P |
