I'm rebuilding my old tranfer case and need a "few" parts. Any ideas on who has the best deals on this and has anyone seen an exploded view diagram with a part number reference for it?

That top pic looks like bits from your diff...the bottom being more bits from your diff....
Apart from the casing whats salvageable?

Unless my driveshaft sucked up my diff and spit parts out into my transfer case all those parts originally came out of my T-Case. It took me about an hour to get it completely apart.

Thank you Brad for the link. It will definitely help more than you can imagine.

How did it happen? Apparently one of the pins, number 16 on the diagram (thanks Brad), sheered and lead to a chain reaction of tearing alot of things up. Originally I thought it may have been a bearing that had come apart but after opening the case they all show to be intact.

Wow man, I have never seen anything like that. How long do you think you drove it while damaged?

Jason, how hard was it to pull the xfer case? Did you use a trans jack?

I couldn't go very far once those parts came apart because its just like trying to drive in neutral but with a whole lot of grinding and crunching. Luckily it happened near my house and I only started it a couple times for people to help diagnose the problem.

It is not too bad of a job, fortunately I have access to a lift.

Jason,

Call BCB offroad out in Cali, they do a part-time conversion and those parts get removed. They might have them for you.

Otherwise you are screwed as they are $$$$

Ron

Better yet buy their part time kit and go part-time 4wd
