My Dad and I are about to install Land Rover Heavy Duty springs on the front of his Discovery II. What differences in the job are there between the D2 and a Range Rover Classic? Anything imparticular we should know?

Thanks,
Will

Will, the task is so simple. Pop the swaybar, Jack the vehicle, drop the axle, swap out the springs, go have some ice cream :-)

Hi I read the article aswell, but what about 2" lift? How will
the airsuspension at the rear cope with this, or should one
change to coils for this????
Will 255.85x16 fit then or will they fit with 1" lift?

RTE SLS spacers for the rear will take care of the airbags. for 255/85 you may want to runa 3" lift. THen youll need the sls spacers and an longer sensor bracket. Im running a 3" lift with sls now.

running it for about a year. No problems. I have bilsteins in the back. My ome hd shocks werent long enough. And my ome shocks inthe front are on spacers as a temporary setup until i get bilsteins and brackets for them. I run the rear at 2 1/4 inches. I am assuming this saves the rotoflex from all the highway driving i do. Then lift is to level it out offroad. A GBR rear shaft is a must have on my christmas list though.
Parts i used are:
SLS spacers
home made sensor brackts
Bilstein 12" travel short body shocks
OME HD front shocks
RTE 3" lift HD fron springs.
Cross member spacers
fairly easy and straight foward install. I think thats all. Il post if i forgot something
