I rolled my left front window down, then started my 95 D1 now window will not roll up. I have always had to mess with it a little, some times it will roll down by itself, but I can alway ge it back up. Is it the front window ECU? |

Hi: It sounds like a mechanical issue. Have you taken the door apart? Mine did the same thing and it the metal bracket that holds the window on the rail broke. I fixed it using some "home made" parts and it has been fine ever since. Also try checking the switches. |

If you can pull the window up with your hands it is most likly the window regulater has come lose from the track on the window. Can you hear the window motor when you hit the switch? |

The same thing happened to the front left window in my 96 Disco, it only happened a few times mostly during really cold weather (early morning) I was gettin ready to fix it, but started to work just fine, although I thing that this winter will happen again, any news let me know so I can be ready for it before hand. Thanks everone for the input. I replaced the window ECU ($165.00) 15 minutes, everything works great. Marco you may want to think about doing the same it's easy. ECU is behind the glove box. It's a block box with two white plugs. Pull the box (look at rear window post in tech section) it's titled Rear electric window |
