I have the standard compressor for ARB lockers. I wanted to install the pump kit to air-up on the trails. However, I have been told that the compressor is "light duty" and can not support the work load of inflating large tires. Is this true? Anyone already run this set-up? What are the pluses and negatives? |

Ive been using an ARB for years. it is OK for the standard 235s but takes a long time for 33s and up. I havnt burnt one out yet and a few friends use them too. Those who want quick pump ups have fitted rotary air con pumps to their engines (endless air) bazzle |

also have an ARB - have the coiled hose air inflation hookup, good for wheelbarrow, bike, ATC, etc tires. Will take forever & a day to air up a real tire. But it's better than nothing - has kept me going when I've had slow leaks, also good for pumping up from 18 psi trail pressure to 25 or so for the drive to the gas station air compressor. But if you want real trail air, get a powertank. |

Have had the ARB pump and lockers for 8 years. Only hassle is the fuse rusts up. Its slow for pumping tyres but does the job in the end. Let it have a rest after 2 tyres, and it will last a lot longer. John D |
