Hi Guys, I'm planning on buying a 1999/2000 RR HSE next year- and was wondering...what does HSE stand for? Cheers, Paul. |

SE - Sodding Expensive HSE - How Sodding Expensive? I believe SE actually stands for Special Equipement, and can only assume HSE is High Spec Equipment |

I don't know about the RRs, but I can tell you what the "SD" stands for in the Disco line... SD = Stripped Down |

I don't know specifically what HSE stands for, but they all have the 4.6 engine and the only other option I've seen is whether or not it has navigation. |

I thought "HSE" on the Rangies stood for "Hannibal Special Edition". Not sure though. I seem to recall something about Rover debuting these Rangies on the same trail that Hannibal took his army over when he invaded Rome.

Thanks guys! I was afraid this would become a free for all slam on the great marque- But I am inclined to agree with John, there was something about Hannibal's trip that coincided with the RR name. Cheers, Paul. |

"Hillary Special Edition". The new Range Rovers were taken on the trek path of the great Sir Edmund Hillary for a journalist trip/introduction. -P |
