Does anybody know where I can get the seal that goes around the windshield? I have checked Atlantic British, Rover's North and a few others, but I haven't been able to find it. Thanks. |

Mark my brother "outlaw" owns a glass shop and I think they reuse the outer rubber. The windsheild should be held in with adhesive. Its not like the rear windows that are held in with gaskets. But if you need the rubber I think you will need to go to the dealer. |

I just had my windshield replaced a month ago and all the places I checked with told me the windshield seal is not re-usable. I also watched the guy replaced my windshield just to be sure and as he pulled the old strip out it actually warped and was definitely not re-usable. The glass shop actually had to buy it from the Dealership. |

Autolite/safelite (I can't remember the name exactly) replaced mine and they should be able to get the seal (assuming that they're in your area). |

I have all the seals for $121 if you still need them. They are impossible to replace with out damaging the windscreen. Oh. Or is that what you're doing? |

I was going to get the seal replaced and the windshield, the local glass shop quoted the seal alone at $134. I thought that seemed a little high so I was just doing some checking on prices. Thanks |

the side pieces have metal channels that grip the windshield, they are almost 100% impossible not to damage when removing the windshield. I'm on my third, so I'm aquainted with this. Alos before you have a service come and do the windshield, either have the parts on hand or be sure they know to have them when they come. Otherwise you'll be srcubbing bugs out of your teeth... :-) Usually your LR dealer will have a company they have selected do the jobs, so give them a call and see who they recomend. have a great holiday! |
