The smell is distinct as are the web patterns on the tire. I have a leaking rear wheel seal! Is the procedure the same as a Disco I? |

I can only assume your axle seals are worn. Interesting thing is that some folks totally eliminate this seal in order to "bathe" the wheel bearing with 90 wt gear oil. I wonder if they have the web pattern on the rear tires! |

Appears that there are inner and outer seals. Might be OK to let the inner go, but the outer (and more expensive one) is probably important! |
