When using the remote to lock the doors, the parking lights do not flash, which they should. Any ideas? Regards, Paul |

Is the alarm deactivated? On my 94 lwb, the alarm is either very sensitive and/or not working properly such that it goes off for no reason. I always decativate the alarm by holding the key to the right for atleast 5 seconds each time I lock it. When I unlock it with the remote, no lights blink. Only the doors unluck. This and the static that periodically comes out of the right front speaker for no apparent reason I have accepted as the quirks that I must live with for the priveledge of owning such a fine machine. |

It's funny to read about your alarm issue Ivan. My remote is long since lost but sometimes I'll lock the truck (w/ the key) and as I'm walking away it will unlock itself then relock. I thought it was hilarious at first but then the alarm started going off once it relocked itself. So, I didnt lock my truck for about two months until a few weeks back when I had to leave it at the airport. Upon locking the truck it actually stayed locked w/ no alarm and every since then its been fine. I think my truck was pissed about not being taken off road as much as it would have liked. Ive found things work much better if the tires see dirt at least every other week. Damn I love Rovers.
