I swear i used to have amber parking lights which were located where the the blinkers are. am i smoking too much or what because now they wont turn on. so i called LR and they said the disco1 has no amber parking lights, and that they are just turn signals???? ok i know for a fact that they used to be there. so thats my big question...does the disco1 have amber parking lights aside from the 2nd lights in the headlamp unit????? |

Parking lights are position 1 on your light switch. The headlamps do not turn on, but the amber blinkers do. The second lamp in the headlamp unit is for daytime running lights and those turn on after the ignition is on for few seconds. And I think this feature is only available in Canada. |

My 94 Disco does not have amber parking lights. It has, what Land Rover calls, side lights. The side lights are clear lights in the headlight housing. The come on in switch position one and turn off when the headlights are on. |

that is bizarre because my position one lights used to be the 2nd headlamp light & the amber lights. now it is only the 2nd headlights. they have never just turned on when the car is on. however i disconnected them because i replaced the stock headlamps with hyperwhites, when i couldnt find hyperwhites for the 2nd headlamp bulbs i disconnected them because the looked rather stupid. so for a long period i ran only amber and new it for a fact, is there some kind of fuse??? |

My 98 Disco does not have amber parking lights asider from the ones you mentioned in the headlamp unit. The amber blinkers dont turn on in parking light position and I dont seem to have daytime running lights in mine either. |

I've never had amber parking lights on my D1. Only the lamps in the headlights glow when put into position 1. If you must have them I do believe ECR makes a harness to put the voltage to the amber lights while disconnecting the parking lights in the headlamps. Hope this helps. Zane |
