Once the radio is turned on and it asks for the code, you enter the 5 digits, then it will work. If you miss enter the code, finish till you have entered 5 digits, it must have a 5 digit code. Then you can start reentering the correct code. Did my 98Disco this weekend when I put in an optima. On an RRC if you put in the code incorrectly (3x) you have to leave the ignition on for like an hour, I think, and then try the code again. I don't know if it's the same procedure on a Disco though.
