IM about to change my diff gear oil. Should i go Mobil 1 or Valvoline non syn? And how much do i need for each diff? Pls help. Thanks.

The oil type is completly an opinion thing. The amount as per the Tech manual is: 3 pints each. Hope this helps |

I Use Valvoline Sythetic. Just fill your diffs until your level plug starts to drip. Depending on if you have lockers or not and which kind ARB, Detriot Etc will effect how much oil is needed. Jake |

Is Mobil 1 75W-90 Synthetic Gear Lubricant acceptable? I was searching for the 75W-140, but was not able to find it at any local stores. What size box socket does the differential drain plug accept? |

just use a half inch socket. I think Mobil is only offered in 75w90 |
