I'm considering the purchase of a 2nd hand set of front and read 2nd generation RR seats. My intent is to install them in my '92 Classic. Has anyone ever attempted such a task? What are the considerations? Will they fit? Custom brackets? Any/all seasoned tips will be helpful. Todd |

Perrone, Corbeau makes decent, reasonable priced seats that will fit our ride. Unfortunately they don't come with arm rests and that's paramount for me. Our center console is a bit low to go w/o an arm rest IMHO. I sat in various corbeau seats and I think I was leaning toward the GTS or something like that. It only comes in black and costs around $300. Making up brackets is a piece of cake but you'd lose all the elctrical seat adjustment stuff. Unless there's a way to separate the OEM seat from the adjustment hardware in order to retain the adjutability. |

The Beard seats and the Mastercraft seats are cheaper and a hell of a lot more cushioned. I use my center console as an armrest on occasion. But few good seats have integral armrests. I've resigned myself to losing them. I am not eager to keep the electrical seat controls anyway so no big loss to me. I'd like to have manual slider controls though. Maybe something could be adopted from the Defender. -P |
