I've been reading a lot of information on adding lockers for the front and back to enhanced the off-road ability. As I do do some offroad for the weekends and really would like to know how these lockers can enhanced the off-road ability? For those who have installed the lockers, pls share your experience and how much better it is compare to just the central lock differential. Thanks.

James Hi I have arb front and rear and have had to be winched from a mud hole. I have also made it up some steps that had alot of sand/gravel ledding up to them. What kind of offroading do you do? The CDL will split the power to the axels, if you loose traction on your front left wheel the right front wont spin but the back two will. If you loose traction on one front and one rear you are stuck. With a locker the power now goes to each wheel (in my case locked front and rear). Whith the steps my front wheels hit and one stopped the other spun. The rears did the same. I locked the rear and spun and dug deeper into the sand. I then locked the front also and climbed right up with no problems. I try to make a line with just the CDL and use my lockers as last option. I hope this helps and is not to basic. Max |

Lockers help a lot! The difference is night and day when compared to just a CDL which helps a little, and Dual ARB's which help an amazing amount. My ARB was the best mod I've made yet. |

I agree with james. Lockers are one of the best mods ive done. I only have a detroit in the rear, but its amazing. The TT up front is nice on the highway, but id rather have an ARB up front for off road. its on the christmas list. |

You can still get stuck. And when you're locked F&R stuck is stuck. |
