I think he might be talking about the manifolds cracking. I replaced mine about 2 years ago but on my own dime. At least I think that's what he's talking about. | ||

Mine has a crack the goes from the outside of the manifold where it connects to teh down pipe right to the bolt hole | ||

Can anyone confirm if this is a Discovery or Range Rover "campaign", and what Markets are affected? I am guessing North America, certainly USA... has anyone else received a letter??? | ||

I heard from a customer today and the letter focused on cracking on the right manifold. Apparently the recall covers 97 and 98 within a certain VIN range. We happened to be working on a 97, I looked at his manifold, and it was cracked. I then called the dealership to confirm, and they have called it out. They can only get about 2 manifolds a week, but they are replacing them. | ||

Same problem, 97 Disco, cracked right exhaust manifold. I purchased a replacement from Nathan Crabtree about a year ago and replaced it myself. | ||

Took them long enough! Its like 98 or so when the 87-89 range rover fuel tank recall came out. Ron | ||
