My Bridgestone Dueler AT Revos are going to cost me $620. Size 245/70/16. Is that price about right?

that depends, how many are you getting? 4? 5? 6?

assume close to $150 per tire for good tires, not including tax. If you shop at the kind of place that charges you "extra" for mounting, balancing, valve stems, etc., then you have to add that crap in too.

buying 4 tires...that price includes everything. My spare is still 235/70/16. Will that screw up the 4 wheel drive if I have a flat?

Is that price for Pmetric or LT tires? That is a bit pricey but to bad.

As far as your spare is concerned, I'm not 100% sure but I would think the size difference would be enough to cause possibly damage to the diff.

your spare needs to be the same size. unless you are in the market for a new diff or transfer case.

air the spare way up to the same hight as the 245's if you need to use it. Don't laugh, it'll work.

I think I paid about $135.00 each for mine down in SW Florida. i have Dueler A/T 265/75/16's. Prices are higher down here I think, as mine didn't include mounting, etc.

Haven't been off road with them or the Disco yet....Been a very busy summer and up till now....man I have got to get some time to go play.

As far as on road, then handle great and do very good in water. I got to drive in snow this weekend, and didn't even notice that it had snowed.

I did get to drive thru my yard the other day after a very, very heavy rain and I didn't spin a wheel. (off camber up hill about a 3 percent grade)

Bought mine at a local tire dealer in Spencer WV.

I just spent $640 on Michelin cross Terrains. Ok, so these may not be your cup of tea - but man did they ever make a difference! WOW! Anyways, I went to national Tire and Battery - the third set of tired I purchased this year (not all for the LR). They always seem to have the best price in our area (Boston). Have fun!

$111 each at Tire Rack (mounting and balancing not included, of course.) See http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Bridgestone&tireModel=Dueler+A% 2FT+Revo&vehicleSearch=false&partnum=47SR6ATREVOWL&fromCompare1=yes.

Price shoppers:
Revo's(as with all tires) vary by sidewall thickness vs. price

Check the sidewall rating before you start comparing apples to apples.

Cheaper tires will have a thinner 6 ply sidewall and a lower price. SL & C rated.

D & E Rated tires go from 8 ply to 10 ply and price goes up each rating. I would NOT use a C rated tire off-road. You will be more apt to cut a sidewall.

Yeah, I think my Dueler A/T's are 6-ply, and my prior Goodyear MTR's were 10-ply.

It sounds silly, but I can tell they are a lot lighter on the truck. There is much less rolling resistance also.

The truck feels as if you took off a set of heavy boots and put on a set of tennis shoes. That's the only way I know to describe it, but I could definately tell there was less rubber in the Dueler A/T's.

I got my Bridgestone AT Revos on yesterday...245/70/16s...fit and look great. I haven't checked the load rating(oh sh-t). Hope they are D or E. Drove 'em in the rain last night and they took standing water like it was nothing. Going to Jackson Hole, Wyoming Dec. 21-28...can't wait to see how they handle the snow.

Rob,

technically, load range C is perfectly adequate for a Disco. FWIW, 35-12.5R15 BFG M/Ts are C-rated, while Michelin XPC 235/70R16 are E-rated. Guess what, the max. load rating is nearly the same (BFG at 35psi, XPC at much higher pressure).
Sidewalls? I've cut more C-rated tires' sidewalls than E's, but only because I've abused them more. One football-sized rock sliced the sidewall of an E-rated Futura Enforcer (at 25psi) as if it was an inner tube.

That said... I'd try to keep E-rated tires on a street and highway driven Disco. The combination of load, speed, pavement temperature, and consequences of losing a rear tire on a loaded Disco don't make me feel comfortable.

Just replaced my 4 oem HP's on the DII with Toyo's Open Country A/T (255-65-16). Can't wait to try them out in the snow storm we might get this weekend.
