Went and had the Magnaflow treatment done last Friday. Had the 54305 muffler, and the 11225 cats installed. Deleted the resonator. The whole thing cost 445.00, with purchase, installation and 3 day shipping on the cats & muffler from Troyer.

All in all I am satisfied with the set up. A little more boy racer sounding during city driving than I was shooting for, but that is easy to fix if the sound doesn’t grow on me. Highway it sounds nice. Haven’t run a full tank through it to get a mileage figure yet, but I do know it’s up from what I had going on. Feels as if there is better throttle response around town too – like that part a lot.

My exhaust was getting to be in rough shape and with the right cat fused, from the crank sensor failure episode I had, and since I crushed a nice section of pipe behind the muffler fooling around – forcing a hacksaw job right behind the muffler. I really was needing to get off my checkbook and get it sorted out.

So I wanted to thank the D-Weber’s that did the legwork to find out these parts worked. This is really the way to go, as much as I wanted the NRP system, once I priced out this option – it was a no brainer.
