I can feel a slight vibration when the vehicle is traveling around 30-45 mph. Once it reaches 52 mph the vibration is gone. My tire pressure is 30 front 35 back and have new BF Goodrich tires. What possible problem(s) could this be??? Thanks, Ray |

How is your tire ? If you look at the outside tread is it even or are the treads stepped. Not sure how to say it but if you run your hand along the edge of the tire where the treads meet the sidewall is it even? If not your tire is "chopped" which would give a vibration. Tires can get chopped from alignment or shocks being bad. |

Well, he said his tires were new, so I doubt they are chopped. Mine old ones were chopped like Brad described and they sure did vibrate. Anyhow, it seems if the tires are new they just did not balace them properly. Tell them to recalibrate their maching before they balace yours and make sure they finger balance them. I know you wanted to know other things it could be, but I would get those puppies balanced again before I bothered to look for anything else. Good Luck Matt |

woops Matt my bad that is what I get for speed reading LOL. If the tires are new they might have not put the wheel weights on correctly when they mounted them could have thrown one. |

well brand new tires can be a bit off. When I had my BMW I had to get a set of tires shaved to make them even. For some odd reason they would not balance correctly. |

If you have gone back to the tire dealer to have the tires balance properly and you still have the vibration, you need to check the condition of your panhard rod bushings. I had the same experience on my 1955 Range Rover Classic this past week. First, I went to the tire dealer to balance and rotate the tires. The vibration was still there and getting worse. Next, I talked to Eddie at Land Rover Unlimited about my situation, and he said to examine the panhard rod bushings for wear. One of the two panhard rod bushings was completely worn out. I replaced both bushings while I had the panhard rod removed from the vehicle. The vibration is gone. Jim Lupinetti |

Thanks a lot everybody. I got my tires rebalanced, and check the tire pressure and set it at 35 on all fours (I am at the high desert in Calif. where the dry winter and summer prevails). The vibration was lessen but it's still there. Again, these are new tires that probably needs some breaking in. As far as the panhard rod bushings, where are they exactly located? Can it be determined visually if they are shot or not? Thanks again. |

Have them "speed" or "load" balanced. It's the only way. I thought it was tires, stabilizer, shocks, the road, etc. They were not properly balanced. Called the dealership and ask where they have theirs balanced. Our dealership has theirs done next door at a Tire Force. |
