I am trying to replace my RV auto dim mirror on my 97 DISCO. I have those pretty black blobs in my view! I have contacted the donnelly mirror company and they are requesting the PIN OUT or connector count on the wiring harness. Does anyone out there have one of these mirrors off to see or do you already know? I'm just being a little lazy and did not want to touch the overhead chubbies until I actually start to put the new mirror in. Thanks for any help. It is appreciated.

I'm in the same boat and come to find the connector is buried up inside the head liner some where. I did slide the mirror off its mount to take some digital pictures for them. There is a blue and white wire. Pretty simple being as the mount is on the glass. One is a ground and the other is 12 volts. That would be my guess. Let me know if they get you the correct one as I'm in the que for one myself.

Crap I just had mine off last week...I think it's three pins. You will need to pull off the overhead bin (really easy to do) just take out the screws and unplug the interior lights wires (there are two wires). If your 97' is the same as my 96' the connector is mounted to a small bracket inside the opening in the headliner. Use a small thin flat head screwdriver to release the connector from the bracket and unplug the mirror.
Reassemble in reverse order.

I replace my mirror through Donnelly too, great people, although I only had to give them year make and model and I was hooked up.

Good luck

Hmm, exactly how hard is it to remove the mirror or slide it off? I have to take pictures also and i dont want to screw anything up. Thanks.

It's not hard to remove the mirror just give it a slow firm push or pull downward. Don't hit it really hard just reach under the mirror and grab the base and give it a push or pull down. There really isn't much to screw up, just unscrew the overhead bin remove the two wires for the light and any other wires there might be (sun roof button, garage door opener if you have them) remove the mirror from the windshield, follow the mirror wire back to the connector and disconnect, then pull the wire down through the head liner, mount the new mirror to the windshield shove the new mirror wire back up into the headliner connect it to the power source, stick the connector back on the bracket, pull up any slack wire, reconnect the wires to the overhead bin and remount the bin. The hardest parts of the whole thing is getting the connector off the bracket and getting the screws back into the cubby bin.

Good Luck
