Does anyone know of a good source of service (other than Land Rover of Scottsdale) in the Phx area? My disco is still under warranty, but I am wondering about service after the warranty has expired.

I use Combs Auto for minor stuff. They have two locations. My only experience has been at the North Scottsdale location. I gave them a chance to screw me with the A/C on my wifes Landcruiser and they were straight as an arrow with their plan of action.:-) Give them a try and let me know what you think....Dave

For other cars (Infiniti, Ford, GM) I have had good luck with:

Rettke Auto Care
1900 N McClintock
Tempe, AZ 85281
(SW corner of Hayden & McKellips)
480-945-9299
James Rettke, owner (very honest)

When I first picked up the Disco 5 years ago, I had some work done at:

Harrison Connor Automotive Technology
8295 E. Raintree Dr.
Suite C
Scottsdale, AZ 85260
480-596-3701
Lonny C. Vanatta, owner (incredibly honest)
haven't talked to Lonny in a few years, don't know if he's even still there. He had a 1995 Disco when I had him doing my service, and always had a Rover in the shop.

I have used McCormick's in the Scottsdale Airpark with good success. They will even let you bring in your (much less expensive) mail order parts to have them installed, in lieu of sourcing them from the dealership.
