Does anyone else have sluggish latches and sticky doors in cold weather? I suspect that the problem stems from the lubrication habits of the dealership (previous owner only got service at the dealer). But I was curious if this might be a more common problem. I am going to have to pull the doors apart and clean and lube all the mechanisms. I think I will try a low temp synthetic grease, any lube recommendations?
Thanks,
Kris

I just posted a similar post and no-one answered. However I just finished relubricating the latching mechanism and everything works great.

1. open door
2. "wash" latching mechanism area with liberal amounts of WD-40.
3. push latch in with your hands if possible and wash again with WD-40.
4. Pull door handle and see how easily the latch releases. Keep washing until it easily releases.
5. Allow latch to "dry" and then apply spray-on white-lithium grease.

Good luck and let me know how it works out!
