Hmmm, well outside of a pure electrical fault, the only thing I can think of is a bad diff lock sensor or diff lock sesnor out of adjustment.

The sensor has a jam nut on it to raise it up/down and conceivably it could be adjusted down just a tad too far making a partial contact - this is just a maybe (??).

Problem is you have to remove the console and shifter plate to get to the sensor.

If you engage the diff lock, drive around or whatever, disengage it, and the light is still on, then you need to put it in reverse and "unwind." I had my diif lock engaged this morning in the snow. I reversed a little ways, then disengaged it, but the light was still on. So I reversed a little bit more, and the light went out. I'm probably just blabing on about what you already know, but what the heck!

Too many damn comas :-)
Matt
