This board is the most informative site that I have come across and was one of the main deciding factors in puchasing my 2003 Discovery. With all that said I have one quick question or two depending on the answer of the first. Are all 2003 NAS Discovery S models prewired for the CD changer? If not how can I find out if mine is? Thanks in advance |

No 2003 S's are prewired for the CD. The wiring isn't too, too bad. ...and the harness is only $25 bucks or so. |

Matt, I installed an Alpine 6 disc cd changer in my 2003 Discovery S. I had to order a blitzsafe adapter for my Discovery. This allowed me to use the existing cd controls on the tape deck to work the cd player. The cd changer brackets come preinstalled out of the factory so you don't even have to drill. The alpine fits perfectly. I got instructions for the whole process from expedition exchange. I know this wasn't your question but I thought it might be of interest to you. JRS |
