What causes front inside tire wear (first tread).
Toe in and tire pressure are good, I haven't check chamber.
I do drive it like a F1.
65K - original shocks.

Castor and camber are fixed on a D1....

Toe, air-pressure, rotating, shocks, which tires you have, those are the things you can control....

I have Pirelli Scorpion ST for 4x4s. Kind of a all season/all terrian type of tire. I do 99% street and 1% off road.

Hi Dave,

I just had the same problem with my '98 D1. It turned out that I had crushed the right rear sway bar mount while out on some rocky trails. I didn't notice it at the time and went on a 2500km trip. By the end of the trip the inside edge of my tires were almost bald.

While I was at my mechanic he notice the crushed sway bar mount and that my right swivel ball seal and a ball joint were in need of replacement,

He fixed them and I put on a new set of tires, and 3500km later everything is running great. The truck also seems much more stable on the highway and less prone to cross-winds.

Thats wierd....I mashed my rear sway bar mounts, got one end of it above the axle the other below.....no tire problems at all.

I would though ditch those shocks they are toaasted...my front ones lasted less than 30k
