Does anyone know what setup is on the front of the G4 Discovery? I really like that and don't want to spend any money on a factory guard. I would like to have it like that for a while and get a replacement bumper later. Just wondering if anyone could shed some light on the subject. Thanks, Hill |

The 2 g-4's I've seen here in Utah had those factory "nudge bar" mounted. I can't remember but I thought I read those were part or the G-4 package on the window sticker. |

Hill, Here is a link to where you can buy the part you want. It's really expensive ($950) which is a freaking joke. I recommend just replacing the entire front bumper which you can do for about half the price of the LR winch mount part. http://www.roverconnection.com/Disco%202%20Acc/d2winch.htm Jamil

Thanks for the information. I actually was talking about the actual trucks used in the challenge. I have a picture but I can't copy it. There is no guard that I can see. Just the winch and two warn lights below the grill. It has the bolt-on headlight protection as well. It is on the G-4 Challenge site where I got the pick on my computer. Maybe someone knows about them. Thanks, Hill |

Hill, As Chris said, that link I posted is the one they use on the G4. Just put a roller fairlead on and replace the A-bar with the Warn lights. http://www.tawayama.com/safaris/recent%20trips/g4/g4-DII-winching%232.jpg Jamil |

Is this what you're thinking of: http://www.landroverg4challenge.com/main/getnewsimage.asp?x=151&t=3 I think the link should work. It looks like a Waren product. Or maybe this: http://www.paddockspares.com/shop/pages/new_products/info/pm501_2.htm

Thanks for everyone's help. I don't know why but I really like that setup on the G4's. I guess you have to cut your bumper for that setup as well?

Hill it makes the approach angle pretty bad with that winch hangin' off the front. |

I didn't think about that. Thanks for the information. I may just wait and do it all when I replace the front bumper. I am leaning toward the ARB since I can retain the fog lights. May sound silly, but really like the way it looks. |

I like my ARB, but i'm going to chop off the upper bars. I think it looks a bit too heavy the way it is. If you want to run brush wires the upper bars are a place to mount them. |
