This one has me puzzled. With just the parking lights on, my left headlight comes on. It looks almost like a daytime running light (not completly on, kind of dim)

Any thoughts would be helpful....I thought maybe a bad ground, but with lights on all the way, it works fine and no other issues noted.

When my parking lights are on BOTH headlights are as you described...I assumed it was some sort of LR daytime lights...

The small light inside the headlight is a parking light...'propper' parking lights ;-)

Mine also has one burnt out right now so I also get the single parking light up front. I always forget to change it....

If the bulbs are not your issue.

Check your grounds on the left side (driver side) of the truck. They are either under the air box..or on the side wall. Sometimes they get gunked up and cause a similar issue.

Check your tail lights too. This happens to me often. Usually a short that causes the fuse to blow. On my 95, the culprit was a short on the trailer light hookup wiring striking the undercarriage.

Robin, and Dave had the right answer.....on the right headlight, the little bulb that comes on is burned out....just need to find a place that sells a replacement tomorrow....

It never fails, I have the LR manual and I am fairly knowledgable in backyard maintenance, but I didn't even think to look for a small bulb in the headlight (other than the headlight bulb that is)

Thanks,

Joey

in this months LRO there is a letter in the Electrical section about this. Its refered to as the 'dim-dip' system. '...the normal full and dip beam settings.'

Joey,

You can get those bulbs at Walmart or any Auto type store...I changed mine to blue....looks cool at night with my yellow PIAA lights on my A-bar.

Joey
Before you buy the bulb check your fuses. I think (not for sure) that there are 4 fuses. 2 for each side. Max

They're city lights. DRL's aren't used in conjunction with the parking lights and I think, the DRL's, are brighter.

My '95 has the same issue. I assumed being a foreign vehicle, the light was a regional requirement. I think you may have replaced the bulb with a "U.S.A." bulb.

have the same issue, but my lights dimmed and were almost no existint. i drove with the high beams on for a short time. changed all four bulbs in the front. now i have bright lights, but now when i pull back on the stalk to activate the high beams the indicator light comes on breifly and the beams get brighter, but the high beams do not stay engaged. i also cannot turn on my hella's which are wired into the high beams. if i pull back on the stalk and hold they will come on. any thoughts on this??
