I removed my LR waterproof seatcovers from the seats, headrests, and arms yesterday to give them a bath. They are filty. I didn't know how dirty they were until I saw the clean and spotless leather below them. Sure didn't look like my truck in there, immediately sent a thank you note to the person who "nagged" at me until I bought them. Has anyone ever put their waterproof seatcovers in the washing machine to clean them? How about putting them in the dryer? I don't want to ruin them - I'd link to get them back on the seats asap. I pulled out the documentation the covers came with, but there are no washing instructions - just fitting instructions. Thanks in advance, Jamie |

Jamie, I bought mine on Ebay and the first thing I did was put them in the washing machine with only a small bit of powder soap. I did the front and 2nd rows in two loads. I then let them air dry for the next 24 hours. No problems, no damage. Came out nice and clean and fresh smelling. Jamil |

Thanks Jamil, I'll do that tomorrow. I'm sure not used to my leather seats, I can even smell the leather when I open the door since covers are off. Just for the heck of it, I put the stock carpet floor mats in today (I've never used them) and it just looks way too bizarre in there - too clean and brand new looking. I keep thinking I'm climbing into someone elses rover. I'd better get the grungy stuff back in there before I mess it up. Gosh, those seat covers and rubber floormats sure are worth their weight in gold Thanks again, Jamie |

True, but there's no continuous swishing sound when they are off...

Jamil, Just finished putting all the covers back on. Washed them the same way that you washed yours and they came out great. By any chance do your covers for the front seats have a plastic roll that is supposed to be pushed into the area where the base of the seat and the seat back meet? Mine have never stayed put in that space. If you do have them, do yours stay in there? Thanks again, Jamie |

Jamie, That plastic roll is a PITA! It is always coming out and then the cover is flopping around especially on th passenger side since it's cracked. When I slide into the drivers seat the cover comes off sometimes even though I have it on really tight. And then I am dangerously fidgiting with it while I am driving. But a few weeks ago I saw this photo and found the solution. http://www.copleymotorcars.com/uploads/5.3/25d61exf8da64e0b3xy7fa9.jpg Just tuck the seat cover into the plastic edging on the outer side and you are all set. Doesn't slip off anymore and the plastic piece stays put. Jamil
