Be gentle on this tender nubbie. I did search the archives first. And I am trembling while I write this post. I replaced my o2's and my code and engine light went off. It's been about 2 weeks and all of the sudden bammm. That dreaded yellow light popped up again. No codes on the obd. When the light kicked on it did start to idle funny again. |

I would double check the OBD display again. Did you replace the O2 sensors because of code 44? |

jim, check the wires lead to the sensors. i had the same problem. my new sensor had a worn wire that was shorting to ground. i forget which sensor 44 refers to-but it should help you narrow it down. good luck. carl |

Jim, what you need to do is clear the code 44 on the reader and see if any other code comes up after that. |

Clearing the display 1. Switch ignition on. 2. Disconnect serial link mating plug, wait 5 seconds, then reconnect. 3. Switch ignition off, wait for main relay to drop out. 4. Switch ignition on. The display should now be reset. If there are other faults, the next one will be displayed. Otherwise the display will be black 5. If there is more than one fault repeat steps 1 to 4, to clear each fault until the display is blank.
