I know of one person who did that (not intentional) on a D1 and the vehicle still worked fine. However, I wouldn't advise trying it yourself. | ||

that clip is actually from the end credits of a mid 90s skate video called "Barbarians at the Gate". It's basically about a bunch of skate punks who take a road trip and do a bunch of stupid stuff. | ||

Did they bend both the axles on that Defender? My friend is actually in that video and I remember him telling me something about someone bending the axles on a Defender? I have never watched the video, do you know Jack? | ||

That skate video predates camp-kill-yourself by a few years. I don't remember any details of damage to the D90 in Barbarians, but the jump is like the last clip so the truck's limelight may well have ended there. They do at one point drive it right through a corn field and then get flashed by some chicks on the highway. |
