just got back from my 60k tuneup, and when i was inspecting the work, i notice that my rear brake rotor appears to have small cracks in it from the outside edge inwards, stretching about 2 inches.

should I be concerned?

the LR dealer didn't say anything about it

I suspect if you magnafluxed them most ,if not all, of the rotors would be cracked. They take a beating with the heat/cool cycles. If they're not deep enough to catch your fingernail I wouldn't be concerned yet. If they're deep you will have a shorter pad life, but your not going to have a total bake loss.
