A lot of things, you need to find out what the error code(s) are first. The procedure is different depending on if you have OBD 1 (pre 1996) or OBD 2 (most 1996 and onwards)

The procedures can be found in the archives.

Hey, I know how you know!
The same reason I do too.

What I had meant to ask is where the OBD readout is located. An article I read somewhere said they were found in different places for different years/models. Anyone know where the LED readout for the OBD is found for a 96 disco one?
My mission is to fix the problem so the light goes away!
Thanks!

I am having the same problem on my 98 Disco I. Where can I buy a cpde reader, or is there another way to get the code.
Thanks Matthew

Not particularly, unless you want one made out of plywood or something. Talk to Kyle, he is the bumper man. :-)

matthew,
i picked up a c reader from harbor freight for 50 bucks. it reads and clears the codes. any number of websites can tell you what the codes refer to. the archives here can tell you how to fix most problems.
cheers,
carl
