When the weather gets cold, my door locks "stick".

I hit the remote to lock the car, and the button goes part-way down, but then bounces back up leaving the car unlocked (though the alarm is armed...). If I manually open and close the door lock a few times, I can usually get it to go down properly with the remote.

Any one else have this problem, and is there any fix short of replacing the whole lock assembly?

i know what you mean, its really the driver and passenger doors. It takes atleast 3 tries to open the driver door and even more assistance with the passenger door... If anyone knows how to fix, PLEASE POST!

If you take out the door lock you will see a very small single turn spring in amongst all the gubbins. this small spring breaks and prevents the lock from latching.
LR dont make a replacrement spring, just a complete lock, but you can make a spring quite easily
cheers

Anyone know how much a complete lock might cost?

Thanks,
Luis

So it isn't a broken spring, as it only happens when cold. Lubrication perhaps?
