Check this out, a little pricey but a nice solution to the age old problem.

That's nice. I wish they would make one for the Garvin Wilderness rack.

There's another guy out there in the WWW that has a polished diamond plate version. It's beautiful! The Rhino stuff does look nice and makes my welded-on expanded metal floor look like crap. Oh well.....

Robin, if you're serious about wanting something for your wilderness rack - go to your local plastic supply house and buy a sheet of UHMW plastic - any thickness you want. Can be cut with a circular saw, jigsaw, holesaw - you name it.

Wilderness rack is easy - flat floor.

$500 for a piece of 1/4" thermoformed plastic is insane.

So if one were to want to attempt this himself, how would he form the bends in the plastic?

So, for $300 more the Rhino gives you:
colored black/grey whatever it is
cut to fit
attachment holes cut
bent to fit
slip proof surface
attachment hardware
some form of warranty
shipping included.

The price is still high, but starting to sound better. I might $400 delivered for one....

You want a UV stabilized UHMW PE for best life, even though standard UHMW will hold up quite well:

Most of the material we buy comes from Roechling.

I'll bet that quarter inch plastic will turn to butter when ambient air temp is in the one-tens, not to mention full sun exposure. Even at normal room temperature, how stiff is quarter inch plastic? There's a lot of empty space between the Adv rack cross bars...

I have polycarbonate sheet on the 90 roof rack. I paid $180 for a sheet from a local glass company. It's perfect, and indistructable. They use the UV stuff for race car windows, etc. You don't need it for the roof.

For anyone considering that flooring for $500 but don't have a genuine LRNA roof rack yet, please contact me. I'll sell you my roof rack for a cheap price of $1,995...

Matt-

MPG drop? Not really.

Noise reduction? Four Hella 4Ks across the top do a better job.

So what is flooring good for you might ask?

Is this the flooring that you have on your rack?
