My cheezee side steps are falling apart! I know they are not for off-roading, but I have some friends with "special needs" that can't get in otherwise. They deserve the priviledge of the Land Rover experience. Plus, I think I may have already bent up the bottom of my rig just a little. I guess I could just get some good sliders and have someone else weld some kinda little step on there. (I have never tried to weld- yet. ) Ideas guys? -Matthew G. |

Here are some close up pics of the RTE sliders with nerf step on my 92 RRC, will be the same for a D1. It is wide enough to use as a step.

Matthew, I highly recommended the RoverTym sliders with the nerf. I'd have trouble getting in and out if I didn't have them. Don't know what kind of "special needs" you are taking into consideration. I get in by grasping the inner handbar, angling my foot on my sliders, and pull myself up and into my rover (what I am referring to as handbars are INSIDE each door above the windows). I just hope they never pull loose or I'm going to end up on my butt when I reach the ground (ouch!) p.s. If you have girls, they will stil be able to get in and out while wearing a dress In that situation, I step up onto the sliders using the entry door as support. From the sliders, it's kind of just like getting into a car. |

Wow, almost an elegant entry with those! I like the whole look. With a vertically challenged wife, I might be able to get those by her as a "needed" modification. Tim |

What is this "bling bling" thing anyway? I gather that it refers to something which is entirely non-utilitarian in nature, but I am unclear as to either its derivation or precise meaning. |

Thanks for all the info. They look good! I think this is just what the doctor ordered. Jamie, By the way, one of my friends is a midget and another one has only one leg. His name is Smith.(None of that "what's the name of his other leg?" jokes now- he could be reading this!) I this has got to be my first major mod to Disco! Thanks y'all. -Matthew G.
