Dumb question? Is the disco 2 a positive ground or negative ground? I just got a new CB and the manual said something about positive and negative ground. (I just hooked my CB to the positive and negative connections in the fuse box.) |

So the negitive wire in the fuse box is also the gound? I am switching CB radios (Radio Shack radio to a Uniden) and the power cord appears to be the same for both radios. (both 12 volts) (Only differense is that the Radio Shack had two positive wires, One to go the positive and the other to go to a positive that turns off when the car is not running. That was too much of a pain so I hooked both red wires to the positive battery termanial.) So basicly it should be alright if the positive wire is connected to the positive battery termanial and the negitive wire hook to the ground inside the fuse box? Thats negitive ground correct? I know this is dumb stuff but I don't want to burn up a radio. (Radio works very well with this set up but just wanted to check.) |

Yes. You'll be safe if you run your negative wire to any ground in your truck: The negative post on a fuse box, or almost any other place on the truck's frame or body.
