Ok I have a noise coming from under my 97 D1. It sounds like two glass bottles taping together.I hear it 90% of the time. It is only while moving. It is not as loud while excelerating but when the load is taken off the drivetrain is gets louder. I had a ticking noise for a while which I thought was a brake because it would stop when I applyed the brakes. Now I just have the tap tap tap noise. There is no viberation just the noise. Any ideas ??????? | ||

I would inspect your universal joints, if one is bed it could cause that noise, so crawl under and try to wiggle them anyway you can, any play in one is bad! | ||
